Freedom is not a light subject and it’s very personal for me. I believe that someone must have been deprived of it, fought for it and dreamt of it to understand its true value. I know the cost of freedom.
As the fruit of my ancestors’ struggles, I owe them my freedom, life, my career and my family. I am very touched by this matter and would like to dedicate Nina Simone’s song “Feeling good” to the dawn of the abolition of segregation.
