LYF ‘Les yeux fertiles’

The eyes speak, the eyes seek, the eyes as an emblem of a sensitive and active gaze, of the exuberant and generous aspect of life that is expressed in the multiplicity of artistic creation.
This also proved to be the right time to publish a special project we have had in the pipeline for some time. We had asked some of the protagonists of this field to let themselves be photographed within a rather cramped set.

It was interesting to see how they interacted between those two narrow corner walls. Each of them gave us a ‘moment’ of themselves, an emotion, a smile, a little truth about their personality. We’ve added a sentence to the shot telling about them and we’ve asked them to make a sketch, like the ones you do on a paper napkin, perhaps while waiting for a drink at the bar.
They were all very good and some of them sent us real paintings. It was wonderful to receive all that material and put it on paper.
